Picasso, Mondrian & Chagall

In 2019/2020 the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam hosted a large exhibition about Picasso, Mondrian and Chagall; migrant artists in Paris. Together with Studio Wim I developed a grungy layered collage campaign style.

It reflects the story of otherness and finding a way in a polarised society and art world in Paris in the years 1900-1950. It also hints at the collages of the early cubist artists. For this we designed the whole print an online campaign, as well as some elements that we’re used in the exhibition itself such as an introduction film, murals etc.

For the Amsterdam Museum Night (Museumnacht I translated the campaign into different wayfinding and promotional designs.
